For this single family residence in a historic Long Island, NY neighborhood, we were asked to design a new full bathroom within an existing footprint. A portion of one of the bedrooms was used to create the compact bathroom. We maximized the 44 square foot space in several ways: by using a floating vanity, a deep medicine cabinet, a wall niche in the shower, and extra towel racks to make use of unused wall space. The small space is further enhanced with high-end tile, plumbing fixtures, and various finishing details.
