From a huge lawn that weeds had taken over and a sad little oak that never grew… to drought tolerant and CA native plants, a more mature oak tree, and a small lawn for this family to enjoy! These clients have a large front yard and a small backyard and wanted space in front for their kids to play, so we also designed a short fence to go behind the larger shrubs and grasses. They like to build things and are planning to build it themselves to create more of a buffer between the yard and the street when their kids are playing on the lawn.
