This project could be set in Humboldt but it is actually in Park Estates. We wanted to introduce a fun pool and spa, yet keep it connected to nature.

From beginning to end on this project we kept in mind a special connection with nature. We used a few real rocks to create interest for all to jump or dive in. Round pool and round spa are a classic, yet lost design.

The Challenge
The decking needed to be more natural than our typical sand finish concrete. We went old school with an exposed aggregate pebble finish.

The Solution
We hand broadcast pebbles on top of the colored concrete as it was being finished. Then we lightly washed off the top surface with a sponge and later with an acid wash to expose the pebbles.
