New Cape Cod Home
Working with D. Michael Collins Architects, Encore oversaw the demolition of a 1950-style Cape and constructed a gracious 5,500 square foot farmhouse style home in its place. Our clients wanted to create a legacy home — a treasured family vacation spot for the couple and their four boys that could be enjoyed by future generations as well.
The home features large communal gathering places such as a spacious kitchen, family room and screened porch, as well as private bathrooms for each of the five bedrooms. Vintage and farmhouse-inspired features give the home a relaxed ambiance while strong colors and unique accents imbue it with personality.
Massachusetts architect D. Michael Collins specified fun features such as punched tin in the base kitchen cabinets, sliding interior barn doors, wide pine wainscoting and a wood ceiling in the family room. The accents harken back to a 1930s Cape Cod family homestead.
