Newport Beach, CA Mediterranean Gardens

In Orange County, CA many homes have been built in the Mediterranean Style. Because our clients have different visions of what Mediterranean means to them, H2 Xero Landscape Design spends time looking at photos that our clients like and dislike to make sure that their garden design matches their dreams and more. Our client wanted a colorful Mediterranean garden with plants that, at maturity, grew to under 3 feet tall. To save some money, she decided to order one gallon sized plants and wait for them to grow-in.
3 monts after installing 1 gallon sized plants.
Three months after planting small sized plants. Most of these will grow to about 3' in diameter.

Shade garden after design and installation. Client wanted color in the shade garden that her office and living room looked out onto. Hydrangeas were her favorite with Star Jasimine along the fence To ensure that the Hydrangeas would grow, the soil was changed to an acid-based shade mix.
