Modern doesn't have to mean barren and cold- it can still feel very comfortable and home like. This traditional brick home in South Minneapolis had an active family that loved the outdoors, traveling around Europe, their vacation homes, and Nordic Skiing. They wanted a Scandinavian take on a modern addition/ remodel to their home. The exterior was updated, an addition was added, and every floor was updated from the basement to the Master Suite addition. The project revolved around playing on natural materials- how they interact with the original home, and blending the rooms for how the family lived.
