Niskayuna Renovation

What a special project for an active Niskayuna family with two small girls! The scope was to completely open the center of the house, removing the walls between the kitchen, dining room and foyer as well as the ceiling throughout the entire area. The result is a cohesive great space in which to live, eat, gather and entertain. I used KitchenCraft frameless cabinets in maple to maximize storage, finishing the island in a delicious cappuccino and the perimeter in a clean alabaster. Some of the details that distinguish the space include a cooking alcove with reclaimed timbers, a bar with bench seating within the confines of a chimney, skylights and new ceiling beams. The directive was to reconfigure the center of the house. The result was to create the center of the home!
