A traditional Chicago Graystone two-flat carefully converted into an expansive single family home. The original dilapidated rear porch was demolished and replaced with an open stair and massive windows bathing the kitchen and lower level in daylight. A new staircase to the second floor was pushed into the gangway bay to maximize space at the first and second floor. Original doors and china hutch were preserved, restored, and reinstalled for another 100 years of service. Beautiful woodwork gives all the spaces an elevated level of finish and elegance.
