Northern MN Lakeside Home

Custom home on a beautiful lake for empty nesters with frequent visitors wanting to enjoy northern MN lake life. The property had been in the family for over 80 years and a small cottage was taken down to make way for the home after almost all of it was lovingly reclaimed to be reincorporated into the new home. Norwegian and collected antiques were used throughout the spaces providing character and immediate stories into the new structure.

This stunning lake home had great attention to detail with vertical board and batton in the peaks, custom made anchor shutters, White Dove trim color, Hale Navy siding color, custom stone blend and custom stained cedar decking and tongue-and-groove on the porch ceiling.

A Showstopper Red Front Door greets you when visiting this stunning northern MN lakeside home. White paneling in White Dove flank the front door and the tongue-and-groove ceiling received a custom stain that coordinated with the custom stone mix.

One inside, you are greeted by a custom stairwell including custom paddle balusters. An antique rug, a family heirloom secretary (around the corner) a glass bell jar light fixture from Visual Comfort and a custom rug runner help complete this beautiful entrance space.

A welcoming living room off the front foyer is anchored by a stone fireplace in a custom blend for the home owner. A limestone mantle and hearth provide great perching spaces for the homeowners and accessories. All furniture was custom designed by Lenox House Design for the Home Owners.
