This lodge like home with vaulted ceilings originally didn't have enough texture and scale for the room. The fireplace was clad in stacked stone and Rutt Handcrafted cabinetry built the custom mantel with pegging and bow tie joinery detailing. The scale helps balance the room. We also designed a walnut sofa table with LED lighting that allows for solid shelves to be lit. This again added the much needed solid feel to the room. This piece defines the entry from the living room. The Edward Ferrell sofa facing the fireplace is large in both size and scale, again adding balance.
