This Oak door had been left to the elements for too long. It was badly damaged around the base and had faded severely. Even worse were areas of wet rot damage and delamination of the decorated oak laminate. Before refinishing commenced we undertook repairs to the door by fixing the laminate back to the door base and filling of other damaged areas. The door was then stripped and sanded back to bare wood, re-stained and varnished to seal and protect the surface. The restored door was re-installed and long time closure problems repaired for a very happy customer. The pictures show the before and after, side-by side.
