This is a beautiful grey stone townhouse located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. The project was to completely gut and rehab this single family into a more pleasurable and open space. The new owner's love to cook and entertain friends so it was important to them that the new renovation was designed to fill this need. The previous renovation was poorly done the rooms were chopped up and compartmentalized. The new renovation open up the first floor all the way from the back to the formal living room. There where many original millwork details in the house that needed to be retained and highlight. The living room contained many of these details. The biggest improvement to the house was reversing the stair and making it a feature of the house. Doing this alos added to the openness of the new design. Upstairs we have two guest bedrooms with a hall bath and a master suite with a private bath and two separate closets.
