Located on Ocean Walk on Fire Island Pines, the house is designed on the foot print of an existing building, it faces directly to the ocean and beach. It has three en suite bedrooms all with ocean views, a large open plan living/dining/kitchen.
One of the design objectives was to give the house privacy and focusing the view onto the ocean. The walk elevation of the house is significantly higher then the walk and has little fenestration. As a visitor climbs the steps to the entrance the ocean become visible and when entering the house opens up completely
