Very seldom does an architect receive the opportunity to fulfill a client's desire into their ultimate dream home. To create a "home" not just another house was the main criteria the owners gave us. They wanted a classic oceanfront home that exuded "barefoot elegance". This couple spent several years discussing all of their wishes to maximize this unique lot. Having childhood memories of spending time at old beach homes they too wanted a home that had a timeless feel, yet spoke to current functionality and comfort. A classic shingle styled residence rises among the dunes and recalls those memories.
