Our client requested we maintain the integrity of the original structure - heavy timber construction, while better defining the spaces for the various activities which would be a part of her daily life in the loft. The design approach was in install a series of movable wood screens and a glass screen acting as planes defining the spaces of the loft, while exhibiting the client's art collection. We worked with natural materials of interesting patinas, textures, and earth-tone colors to create an inviting and warm environment.
