Open Concept Remodeled Townhome

Several Walls were removed to achieve this open floor plan. It was a real treat to find out that the only structural support was between the two adjoining town home units. The result was an expansive free flowing main floor kitchen, great room, dining and entertaining space. Once the walls came down some magnificent views were exposed with existing windows of the wooded back lot. We expanded the kitchen to have a large L shaped island to accommodate a minimum of 6 stools, for the homeowners extended family gatherings. We moved the sink to the island. Higher end appliances such as a 36" wolf cook top, wall ovens, built in microwave were planned for in the new space. We also added a new gas fireplace on main floor and created a cozy seating area around the new fireplace. New Cabinetry, Counters, flooring, lighting are found throughout the new finished space. We used an espresso color for island cabinets and white painted for perimeter. Back splash is a light gray subway tile, with glass and stone deco under hood area. Spice pullout, utensil drawer corner Susan cabinet and duo appliance garages were some of the accessories incorporated. One garage was for mixer and one shorter for toaster and shorter counter top items to be hidden away. The counters are both granite one is lighter gray white with some black in it and the perimeter is a black with white marbled veins. The lighting used add a little indusrtial modern flair to the space as there were some traditional peices still in the home and the warm wrote iron color tied in nicely we repeated that finish in the cabinetry hardware as well. Floors are an Ember stain(taupe gray tone) on hickory which modernized the space yet still showed some warmth of the wood through.
