Our client wanted to completely renovate their mid-terrace two storey Victorian maisonette which overlooks the sea on the west coast of Cumbria in the Lake District.

Their brief was to create a family holiday home to a high standard, similar to staying in a five star hotel; a place they could escape to and relax. It had to be functional, yet have a designer feel, and had to be able to comfortably sleep six.

After gutting the entire apartment, we installed a high spec cream and woodgrain mixed two tone kitchen and breakfast bar, with Karndean wood flooring throughout. We included a multifuel stove, and kept the original charm by exposing the sandstone behind the breakfast bar.

The breakfast bar divides the room into separate eating and living zones, but the brief was to make the room as open plan as possible, to allow for easy entertaining.

The room was finished off with a range of homely accessories with a little bit of a coastal theme, perfect for a holiday retreat!
