This custom tangerine branch was comissioned by the Smith Rogers family who owned a tangerine farm. I went and picked tangerines from their tree as well as leaves and flowers. Then I cast the tangerines in plaster, and glazed them in the exact colors of their fruit. The leaves from the tree were rolled in clay so that they had the vein pattern visible. The parts were fired separately and then put together on the flat slab of clay and everything fused together in the kiln firing.
