Latest project - all about pressure treated lumber, and concrete. Demolition of deck and build new one, now correctly - stronger and right, then previous structure was. We also added new stairs to the side of existing deck, to have access to pool pump. Staircase is kind of hidden and have privacy gate.
Real challenge was retaining wall. All work has been done by hands - no access for machinery. We have removed approx 25 cubic yards of dirt, poured heavy duty concrete foundation with rebars, filled up bottom with gravel, run drainage pipes and checked that everything works the way we need. Big problem before was water going thru previous wall, we solved this problem with waterproofing membrane, so now all water will disappear in our underground pipe. There is also new set of stairs - heavy duty, open below for air circulation. Downspout from roof we covered also in the ground. Additional landscaping steps from 6x6 lumber build in has been added and filled with gravel for no maintenance.
