How do you utilize a sloped yard so that you can sit and enjoy the view? How about leveling one area and installing a retaining wall and a patio. This patio is constructed out of concrete pavers that resemble natural irregular bluestone. Don't forget the fire pit! For safety reasons, as well as for extra seating, we made a 2-sided wall on top of the retaining wall. This 'sitting wall' has drain holes cut into it to allow water to escape. The patio is just big enough to put a few chairs around the fire pit and enjoy the view!
