This is a shared front walk and courtyard that was newly renovated. Modern materials were chosen to best match the old paving yet offer incredible durability.

This newly paved courtyard is shared by two households. The fountain is original but was renovated as part of the project. See the walks in the background leading to backyard patio areas.

The old brick of the fountain was stripped off and replaced with new. The paving body is Anchor Rinn concrete paving slabs and the soldier course/border is Pine Hall English Edge clay pavers.

Here a patio was added where no paving was before except for a narrow walk from the back door to the garage. Kasota flagstone was used in the circle section otherwise the paving is consistent with the rest of the paved surfaces.

The homeowners use the circle patio section as a conversation area and a place for evening fires.

This original paving lasted almost 100 years with many repairs along the way. No mortar was used for the new paving solution. The new pavers were laid on a compacted base of Class V (6" deep) and Sand (1"). The new paving should last another 100 years!
