Piedmont Heights Contemporary

After having been living in this house for a couple of years, the clients decided to stay and needed a major design update in their home. During this phase, we finished their kitchen, family room, and breakfast nook.

We removed some of the top cabinets and replaced them with open shelves. We also added geometric backsplash tiles and light sconces.
Kitchen and Living Room Design
We used stark white and contrastic gray colors on the walls but kept the furniture arrangement symmetrical. We wanted to create a Scandinavian look which is clean but uses a lot of warm textures.

We replaced the dated bifold pantry doors with this beautiful walnut stained barn door. Also replaced the bulky dining room table to this sleek mid-century tulip table and added a modern black pendant.

We decided to paint an accent wall very dark, almost black. We used high gloss paint to reflect the incoming light. We carried over the dark paint to the kitchen island.
