This whole home remodel and second story addition located in the Ocean Beach community of San Diego started out as a traditional 858 square foot beach bungalow with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The final concept expanded their living space to 3574 square feet including a first and second story addition, 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, and a rooftop patio. The main living area of the first floor features an open concept design and is flooded with natural light through the addition of large windows throughout. A large kitchen with distinctive tile and wood inlay floors and other unique design details perfectly reflect the Spanish theme while top of the line appliances, beautiful stone countertops, and a large island provide the perfect space for family meals and entertaining friends.

Off of the kitchen, a Fleetwood pocket door system spans the length of the wall, opening up completely to the relaxing outdoor living room that features a cozy fireplace and conversation area. Special attention was also paid to the family’s furry friends, with a large custom dog run constructed along the side of the home. The addition of a pool, outdoor dining area, firepit and beautiful hardscaping completed this dream home by the beach.
