Pristine Koi and Recreational ponds are one of our clients most common requests. There is so much diversity involved during the design and installation stages. This particular installation was unique within itself as the homeowners use steep stairs to get down to their backyard each and every day. They requested a comfortable path around the majority of the pond. So the Liquid Designz team took it one step further. My main design element here was to allow anyone coming down those stairs to take their final step onto a huge cantilevered stone (60" x 55" in this case) that jetted out 12" over the pond. Basically a safe, comfortable, platform to stand and view the pond and also a perfect spot to dangle your feet in the water while feeding the fish. This overhang also is one of three designated areas for the fish to hide from predators. We decided to continue with the assorted slabs of stone around the majority of the ponds perimeter. What a great look!!!
