Sometimes homes adjacent to intersections suffer from overexposure to traffic and noise. At this home, we needed to create some better privacy and screening for the home from the nearby intersection. The homeowners also wanted to complement their existing landscape and add more color. We created this large raised berm bed to help screen the home and filled it with colorful and low-maintenance plantings. Berm landscape beds can also be useful when you’re trying to create a wind brake or need to add interest to very flat landscapes.
