Sweeping views from the Elizabeth Islands to Nomans Land inspired the design for this extensive addition/renovation project. An existing forty-year-old house set the stage for a deep energy retrofit and rooftop solar energy system. The design accommodates current family needs with plans in place for future additions. The salvaged timber framing, flooring, and kitchen island are offset with clean lines and painted surfaces. The views are celebrated with ample daylighting. Interior design and furnishing is by SMC.
