PROW HOUSE
The Prow House extends along the coastline, commanding 150 feet of unobstructed Pacific Ocean frontage. Designed to fully engage its setting, every primary space faces west, with expansive sliding doors opening to a continuous oceanfront deck that blurs the boundary between indoors and out.
From the street, the home maintains a restrained profile. The upper level is intentionally minimal, while a living green roof conceals the lower level, reducing visual impact and anchoring the structure into the landscape. Material selections were driven by the demands of the coastal environment—zinc, concrete, ipe decking, and cedar—chosen for their longevity, weather resistance, and understated sophistication.
A rooftop solar array supports high-performance, energy-efficient systems, reinforcing the home’s commitment to resilience and long-term sustainability. Inside, the architecture is clean and modern, softened by natural wood, warm textures, and abundant daylight.
Whether viewed from the water or experienced from within, the Prow House is a deliberate response to the Oregon Coast—durable yet refined, grounded yet dynamic, and constantly evolving with the light, wind, and sky.
