Rags to Riches Kitchen

The original kitchen was an outdated, small space that was cut off from the Dining Room by a bookshelf and a large masonry fireplace and chimney in the middle of the room. As part of the renovation, we removed the fireplace and opened up the entire space as one large room. The skylight adds welcomed light to a dark corner. New colorful sliding barn doors allow the space to be separated from the adjacent Family Room while also reflecting the dynamic personality of the Owner. New wide plank wood floors stand up to everyday use. This project reveals how a white kitchen doesn't have to be boring or sterile.
