Rathnelly House

Set within a semi-detached, double-brick Toronto home, the Rathnelly House transforms a narrow Toronto lot into a sequence of quiet design moments — each one stitched together by natural light. Warm oak and crisp white surfaces dissolve the walls, lending the interior a feeling of weightlessness. At the heart of the home, a custom floating oak staircase rises without a single piece of structural steel: pure joinery, mortised connections, and accumulated craft holding a self-supporting span in mid-air. This project deeply exemplifies our studio’s craft-forward approach.
