This simple fireplace surround didn't express the eclectic taste of the homeowner. The home was designed by the celebrated Metro Detroit architect Wallace Frost. A quote from Walter Winchell was chosen to adorn the limestone surround. I carved the quote in the existing stone in place with a hammer and chisel. A very fun project.
