This is the east end of the cabin.

This balcony is at the west end over the entrance to the cabin. One of the dormers serves as south light for this room.

This shower is done in real slate in keeping with the decor of the house. The bathroom can be locked off from the main part of the house to act as a private guest bathroom.

The staircase up to the over-looking balcony is done in knotty alder and stained to match the cabinets. The wood on the feature wall (beside the stair and full length of the cabin) is from old boards from grain elevators. The falling grain has worn away soft wood, leaving the harder grain. This...

This is a down-angle shot that shows the main floor of the house which is done in real slate tiles. They are bordered by hardwood around the perimeter.
