For us, the most rewarding part of any project is seeing a property’s true potential come to life, creating a space that enhances our clients’ daily experiences and helps them feel truly at home. This Aspen design project was a true labor of love, transforming a dated 1970s home into a modern retreat that truly honors its breathtaking location. Our clients, longtime friends and proud owners of a property in Aspen's prestigious Red Mountain area, sought a design that matched the unparalleled beauty of the vast sunrises, sunsets, and sweeping valley views. Known for its coveted addresses, Red Mountain deserved nothing less than a home as stunning as its surroundings, blending contemporary aesthetics with the warmth and comfort of a timeless retreat.

The family initially believed they would need to demolish the house and rebuild it from scratch, which would have been a significant expense. However, through our collaboration, they discovered a creative way to preserve the home's mid-century character. Together, we reimagined its existing structure, transforming it into a space that feels both inspiring and contemporary.

The exterior was refreshed with a bold charcoal stain, complemented by upgraded windows, doors, and an expanded deck. Inside, we refinished the floors, redesigned the kitchen, and transformed the fireplace with white oak cabinetry and American Clay. With new lighting and carefully chosen furnishings, the home now exudes a stylish yet grounded ambience, befitting the high-flying address.
