Refreshing White Kitchen

From the first meeting with my clients I knew they wanted a white Kitchen in the new home they were building, but they wanted it to have warmth and personality. The height of the ceilings allowed us to include glass front upper cabinets that we illuminated that gave them a place to display items they had collected over the years. My client shared with me how happy it makes her to look up and see all of those items. I love it because it made their Kitchen so personal to them. We knew we wanted the island to be a different material than the stone counter perimeter and we had considered reclaimed wood, but it was a fateful Saturday when my clients happened upon a shop that makes baseball bats. The living edge countertop came out of that meeting as well as many great stories. It adds so much warmth and character to the space.
