Featured in Metropolitan Home Magazine, this project started with the removal of all walls and finishes in this modern renovation in the Ritz Carleton Residences in downtown Washington, D.C. Materials with patina such as a timbered floor are contrasted with modern materials giving a feeling of both modern and warmth. The addition of ceiling coves and floor steps at focal points of the home creates an illusion of height in this somewhat small yet open floor plan.
