Rivers End Black
Project in conjunction with "Rivers End Red"
Project Dates: 2015-2017
Project Budget: $1,000,000+
A short distance outside of the gorgeous mountain town of Bigfork, Montana sits Rivers End Black, a three story, tall house made for entertaining. The house sits on a peninsula surrounded on three sides by water—Flathead Lake to the south and a private lagoon on two sides.
There is a gracious patio on the main level surrounding the south west sides of the house. The entire house opens up on three sides to take advantage of the water and for easy indoor/outdoor living.
Each Bedroom has its own outdoor terrace, and each is set up as a master with en suite baths and walk-in closets. The master bedroom is complete with a sitting room/den and a bathroom inspired by the homeowner’s life abroad in China. It has a Japanese soaking tub, set up as a wet room in conjunction with the massive walk-in shower.
The top floor, which is essentially a roof deck, has a casita-style tower with a powder room, a small caterer’s kitchen, a bifold pass through window, and an integrated BBQ Grill. A large glass railing provides a seamless view of the lake, offering beauty, function, and relaxation.
The main floor has a kitchen complete with a full wet bar. There is also a large media room/den/bunk room on the main floor to allow for overflow guests, and a spot for movies and video games for the kiddos and young at heart. Perfect for when the water is rough or there is bad weather.
The exterior is natural cedar siding stained in a fun charcoal color. A large steel fire vessel sits out front.
