The client wanted a railing, without actually having a railing. They knew they needed something, but they wanted to still have an open concept main floor.

They loved the industrial look, with rusty textured steel and rivets, so I sourced some reclaimed steel that had been sitting outside for 40 + years and cut it up into the sections that I wanted. Each piece was carefully patinated and buffed. Then I drilled each hole by hand, and used solid steel rivets to marry the steel plates together.
