The room is surrounded in Knotty Alder wainscoting, with a handcrafted White Oak log mantle mounted over the fireplace, In the corner is a custom designed bench seating area, that was modeled after a "snug" like in the old Irish pubs of yesterday. A true Irish snug is enclosed behind doors for privacy, but that would defeat the purpose of being a social space!
