This Rustic Western Mountain Home was inspired by and designed around it's family heirloom Douglas Fir beams. These timbers came from an industrial
building that was built by the homeowner's great grandfather in the Midwest. The trees were harvested in the late 1800's. The home carries a rustic western style balancing masculine tones with natural beauty, heavy textures, and an organic warmth. All finishes are carried in the most natural state as possible: beams have been lightly wire brushed and clear coated to show off the centuries of time tested character; counter-tops have a leathered finish, reclaimed barn wood mix well with the cabinets, accent walls, and exterior siding; integration of natural stone brings the comfort of the natural surroundings both inside and outside. The expression of iron was also important to the owners decorative details. To that end you'll find splashes of decorative detailing throughout this true Rocky Mountain Home.
