The goal of this project was to create a rustic yet refined outdoor retreat for a Howard County, MD residence. This goal was achieved by combining classic materials such as flagstone and round, tapered, fiberglass columns with more rustic materials such as a cedar pergola and concrete countertop for the outdoor kitchen. A stone fireplace sits in the center of the flagstone patio with a formal dining patio on one side and casual pea-gravel seating area on the other. A large kitchen/bar is easily accessed from both areas.
