Sacred Tree Series

The Sacred Tree Series by Carrie MaKenna explores the tree as a sacred holder of space, time and history. The bare trees act a a frame for the landscape behind them. Trees have a lot to teach us.
Each original painting is textured with an under-layment of thick acrylic paste that is painted over. The image continues around each edge. Artwork is self-framing with 2-inch gallery wrapped canvas with hanging wire attached. It hangs flat against the wall.
