Save Those Soffits

This Shaker style kitchen features painted cabinets by Wellborn in the Divinity (off white) color, Drawer fronts are 5-piece style to match the doors. Space was at a premium so we packed the kitchen with functionality including a wastebasket cabinet, tray/baking sheet storage, and drawer base cabinets. Notice that the soffits were covered with matching material, paneled in the Shaker style and topped with Shaker crown molding.

Removing the soffits was not an option in this kitchen. Solution - wrap them in matching materials and mimic the style of the Shaker cabinets. We even extended the soffit to over the French doors to complete the look.
