Saving Water and Supporting Wildlife with a Lawn Conversion

A water-wise, wildlife-friendly garden that maintains a natural, yet thoughtfully designed look was the clients' goal for this Santa Clara lawn conversion. The design is composed of local, drought-tolerant, California natives which include low-growing, flowering perennials and evergreen shrubs, as well as some accent grasses. To keep costs low and conserve resources, the original hardscape was kept in place, with Earth & Spirit focusing on a custom planting plan to complete the transformation.
