What do you do when that old world look becomes too heavy and your tastes long for simplistic beauty? You take down the heavy outer drapes in the dining, living and master bedroom, reupholster the furniture in beautiful light and flowing linens, repaint the kitchen cabinets a modern grey and replace the oversized kitchen table with a sleek game table that can be collapsed small enough for four people to play Majong. In the Master bedroom we took down the chandelier and installed ceiling cans to keep the look modern. The Frette sheets and duvet cover were purchased by the designer on a trip to New York. Twice a year you can buy Frette at almost half the price. The master bathroom is on the list for continued remodeling and I will keep you posted on the progress.
