This project was a complete backyard and pool transformation, converting a sloped Sierra Madre yard into a sophisticated and multi-functional outdoor retreat.

The swimming pool was entirely revitalized with a new plaster finish, restoring its vibrant color and smoothness. Its edges were upgraded with elegant bullnose concrete paver coping, creating a polished, safe, and visually appealing frame. The pool is surrounded by new concrete paver decking, which provides a clean, modern hardscape with enhanced traction.

To address the yard's natural grade, a dramatic three-tier terrace system was constructed using retaining walls. These tiered levels not only provide essential structural support but also create distinct zones for seating, planting, and movement. Custom-poured concrete benches were integrated directly into the design, offering low-maintenance seating that harmonizes with the surrounding pavers and walls.

For entertaining, a sophisticated outdoor kitchen was designed with built-in appliances and storage. A stylish Alumawood lattice patio cover was installed above the kitchen, offering partial shade and a refined architectural touch that combines the look of wood with the durability of aluminum.

Final enhancements complete the space, including the installation of decorative wrought iron fencing and a matching gate for added security and style. Strategically placed low-voltage landscape lighting illuminates the retaining walls, pathways, and benches, highlighting the design's beauty while providing safety and usability after dark. The result is a seamless blend of structure, comfort, and aesthetics, perfect for both relaxation and lively gatherings.
