Skyline Luxury
Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, this high-rise condo has an incredible view to the city and the 15 feet tall ceiling throughout the entire space leaves all guests in awe. The client desired more natural light with supplemental LEDs, and to make a modern, yet warm area. A steel beam supports the oversized opening between the kitchen and great room. Reorienting the refrigerator to the right side allowed Angela to break through the walls and re-create a new set of state of the art staircase and opens up the entire kitchen to the great room allowing the cook and guests to converse face-to-face. Wall cabinets were eliminated and counter cabinets were added for easy reach and functionality.
Other features include a cozy modern fireplace; hidden jewel and private space behind the fireplace is the master suite; an office with custom cabinetry; light wall cabinets and open shelving in the butler’s pantry and a new dry bar to keep the narrow space feeling open and bright. An LED-lit shelf tops a drink station that houses fridge drawers and an icemaker.
