Located in Hoover, Al, this kitchen had some serious long term water damage in the laundry room and a recent leak in the kitchen. Nothing short of totally gutting the area was required to fix both cosmetic and structural damage. Because this was not a "planned" remodel, there was very limited time for choices. After consulting the Kitchen Designer Susan McGee and coming up with a new plan, within a week, for a more functional kitchen, work began. New hardwood floors were tied into existing wood, and the entrance from both the living room and den were widened. Appliances were relocated and structural supports repaired or replaced. Under cabinets lighting added and recess lighting moved/added to better fit the new layout.
