This project definitely falls in to the etc. of Kitchen and Bath, Etc. as we turned this basement into a true lower level! A layout shift moved the video game consoles and TV space closer to the front of the room. A new "A/V Closet" was constructed and cabinets were submerged into the wall for a flush and finished look. The old drop ceiling tiles were eliminated and replaced with a finished ceiling through 2/3 of the project. A decorative drop ceiling from Ceilume that looks like a coffered ceiling remained in the back to conceal all the wiring and plumbing and still provide access if needed.

A bar area was created in an unused nook and closets were added at the foot of the stairs where odd sized niches were prior. A large game / craft table anchors the back of the space. Super cool pendants lights provide drama and accents in the drop ceiling area and the back wall features an accent of Navy blue that just makes the warm walls and furniture pop! LED lights, integrated surround sound, new furniture, and paint complete this cozy / comfy space.
