This kitchen remodel in Solon, Ohio features a brand new layout! The old plan's peninsula caused a lot of traffic issues. It was easy to get trapped in the corner by the old sink and cooktop. There was not a lot of room to maneuver, all the important components were right on top of each other. In the new layout, the island has been turned 90 degrees and the corner wall has been straightened out so there isn't a "bottleneck effect" like there was previously. The new island allows for better traffic around the kitchen. The refrigerator has moved to the far wall with the pantry and ovens. This allowed the new cooktop to slide down and be more of a focal point as well as "breathe" a little. A microwave drawer and stainless hood completes the appliances...

New lighting (recessed, under cabinet, and accent), flooring, and painting completed the transformation.

The cabinets are in the Boca Raton doorstyle from UltraCraft and have the painted stone finish on the perimeter and cherry wenge finish on the island. The countertops are Eternia Quartz's Pelham. The floor is porcelain tile and is heated!
