Since the home didn’t offer a casual dining area, an over-sized maple island with a rich chocolate brown stain was chosen. It was designed for the entire family to gather without interfering with working prep area within the kitchen. Fun and unique turned legs, exposed pull out baskets, and an open bookshelf were used to add visual interest. The large pendants offer balance to the space while giving perfect focal without compromising other decorative elements.
Numerous organizational interior elements were installed to help structure their everyday life.

The tall cabinetry section adjacent from the cooktop serves as an elaborate command center:
Pocket doors conceal the laptop and docking stations for mobile phones and iPods.
Dedicated spaces for briefcases, family medicines, and supplies for home projects.
The pocket doors over the ice and wine machines conceal a delightful beverage/bar serving area.
Between the ovens and refrigerator was built 30” deep to offer additional appliance storage at the counter level.
Trash/recycle bins, pull out spice rack, and cutlery dividers are also installed.
Simple and fresh finishes were chosen to lighten this room without windows; additionally, they offered a clean backdrop for their brilliant furnishings. The remarkable glass tile backsplash balances with the bold color palette of neighboring artwork. To complete the sophistication, subdued beige Zodiac tops were installed for ease of cleaning and maintenance.
