The owner is an avid cactus and succulent grower who also loves the Southwest. This design mixes contemporary - an arching metal overhead shade structure - with more traditional Southwest elements - gates, wall niches and of course the plants. In the process of renovation, outdoor living spaces were expanded to let humans and cacti coexist more harmoniously.
